Introduction
What Findora does, how it fits into your store, and where to start.
Findora is in development. These docs describe the app as it is being built; details can change before it is listed on the Shopify App Store.
Findora adds faceted filters and instant search to a Shopify storefront. It is added to your theme through the theme editor, styled by your theme, and managed from an admin that opens inside Shopify. There is no separate account and no theme code to edit.
How it fits together
Findora has two parts:
- On your storefront, a theme app extension: the Findora filters block on collection and search pages, the Findora search app embed for instant search, and an optional Findora results block for the product grid.
- In your Shopify admin, the Findora app: filters, search settings, appearance, analytics, your plan, and the health of your catalog sync.
Two engines, one storefront
Findora answers your storefront from its own search index. While that index is being built after install, or if it is ever unavailable, the same blocks render filters from Shopify’s own filter data instead. Shoppers see fewer options for a while, never a broken page. See Catalog sync and search health.
