Troubleshooting

Common questions when filters or search do not look the way you expect.

Findora is in development. These docs describe the app as it is being built; details can change before it is listed on the Shopify App Store.

Filters do not appear on a collection page

  • Check that the Findora filters block is added to that collection template and saved. See Add Findora to your theme.
  • Check that the filter is turned on and not limited to other collections. See Set up filters.

The product grid does not update when a filter is clicked

The block and the grid are probably in different sections. Enter the grid’s CSS selector in the block’s Advanced settings. See When the grid is in another section.

Search shows Shopify’s suggestions, not Findora’s

Findora’s index is not serving yet: the first sync may still be running, or the store is on the native engine. Check Search health.

A synonym, rule or boost has no effect

These reach the storefront when the index is next rebuilt, and do not apply on the native engine. See When a change does not show yet.

Searches in another language find nothing

Findora needs the Read translations permission to search translated text. See Permissions.

Prices are missing in the search overlay

The shopper is browsing in a different currency from your store’s. The overlay hides prices rather than show the wrong amount.
