Install Findora

Installing from the Shopify App Store, the permissions Findora asks for, and what happens next.

Findora is in development. These docs describe the app as it is being built; details can change before it is listed on the Shopify App Store.

Install from the App Store

Findora is installed from the Shopify App Store, like any other app. You sign in with your Shopify account; there is no separate login and nothing to register with us. Findora is not listed yet; this page describes the flow it is built for.

Permissions

Findora asks only for what it reads. It never asks for customer data.

Permission Why Findora needs it
Read products To sync your catalog, collections and metafields into the search index.
Read inventory For the availability filter and to hide out-of-stock products when you ask it to.
Read locales To know which languages your store sells in.
Read translations To search translated product text in each language. Optional: without it, every language searches your primary language text.

What happens after install

Findora runs a short setup on its own:

  1. It reads your shop details and counts the products published to your Online Store.
  2. It publishes its storefront configuration to your shop.
  3. It starts the first catalog sync.

You do not need to wait for the sync. As soon as you add Findora to your theme, your collection pages show filters built from Shopify’s own data. Instant search and the full filter set switch on when the first sync finishes.

The Home screen

Findora’s Home screen shows where you are: whether the blocks are added to your theme, the state of the catalog sync, your plan, and anything that needs your attention.
